NORTHERN STAR 1 YEAR ON
MINI CASE STUDY #2:
LESS DILUTION

Following the implementation of Minnovare’s Production Optimiser, Northern Star Resources (NSR) have achieved a 0.5m reduction in average stoping width. As a result, 80,000tns of waste dilution per year has been removed from the process.

Jeff Brown, Principal Innovation & Technology at NSR: “At one of our operations, where ore veins can be particularly narrow, we’ve been able to reduce our average stoping width by 0.5m using a ‘Zipper’ pattern – which you can only do if you have great confidence in your drilling accuracy.”
